This intermediate level pattern is for the basket shown. My white tail antler in that basket is about 12 1/2" from butt end to longest tine tip. The basket is 12 3/4" in diameter and 6" tall, excluding the antler. It hugged the 10" rim well when I slid it back and forth to find a spot where the slightly irregular hoop fit the one-of-a-kind antler. Antler baskets are difficult and I've learned to "listen to the antler", as in study your art medium and learn what it will do and what it won't do.
