This pattern makes a basket with a base that is 8" x 8". The top of the push-in handle stands at 11" above the bottom of the basket. It is shown here with braided seagrass as the accent, but can alternately be done with dyed reed, ribbon backed with reed, or even with palmetto leaves or other natural fibers.
