7 3/4" round slotted wood base. Antler is attached to 8 1/2" hexagonal wood rim. Buffalo plaid weave on this basket was an exceptional challenge. Note the diagonal plaid that happens on the rim with my extended folded rim technique. Basket is 7" deep. Basket is stable because the weight of the round wood base and the squatty shape of the basket counterbalance the bone antler. Prongs extend downward from rim 4" and 1". Antler is screwed, glued, and discretely nailed to the hex hoop.
